WP-CLI 2.0.0
On August 8, WP-CLI v2.0.0 was released that comes with many changes. The Framework and Bundle were split into separate packages, that is a large improvement for development and maintenance.
That does not change much if you are using the Phar version of WP-CLI. If you are using it via composer, the positive news is that the dependencies list is much shorter now than in 1.5.1. If you require a command, only the framework will be pulled as a dependency, not the complete bundle of all commands, like it was in 1.5.1.
Much more information on the new version can be found in the release post »WP-CLI v2.0.0 Release Notes« by Alain Schlesser.
